1st Annual Summer Tour

August 16 and 17, 2008

Wanna have a fantastic time this summer with your fast car? We are putting together a group tour to BC and back for up to 30 cars and their teams of two to raise money for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

You will enjoy some great driving, great food and great company during this event, all while helping to support cancer research in Alberta .

We depart on Saturday, August 16 from Red Deer , Alberta at 11 a.m. sharp (check-in is from 10:15 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.) and the first leg of our route will be revealed to you then.

Each leg of the event ends in a checkpoint where you will receive your next route card with the information for the next leg. In addition to the route cards, your team will receive a playing card for the event poker run - build the best five card hand throughout the two days and take home some great prizes!

After experiencing a full day of scenic driving, Saturday evening will have you enjoying a fabulous gourmet dining experience with some of your newfound friends before retiring to top notch accommodations for the night.

Sunday morning sees more spectacular scenery, roads and opportunities to meet new friends as we wend our way back to Alberta , before finishing with a show and shine and dinner at a restaurant to be revealed in your final checkpoint route card.

Over the two day event, you will experience over 1000 km of western Canada 's most incredible scenery . The total distance you drive depends on whether you take any optional detours to boost your poker run chances with an extra card or two.

Your $987 entry fee includes all of the following:

- one night's accommodation at a gorgeous mountain resort
- a gourmet dinner for the group on Saturday night
- 2 team shirts per car
- souvenir event playing cards
- an end-of-event dinner and show and shine on Sunday evening
- a tax receipt (for the portion of your entry fee above the expenses)
...and, of course, unlimited potential to meet cool new people who share your love for fine cars

There is only room in this year's event for a maximum of 30 teams of two. If you want to be one of these teams, you need to request an application form immediately!

The event is open to anyone, but due to the limited number of slots available, preference will be given to the more unique and exotic cars out there, as we want this event to be special for participants and spectators alike.
